Dear Friends,
God has been shaping a big vision in my heart in the discipleship of children from birth all the way to adulthood. As I was praying, researching, and exploring, I felt God urging me to look at the roles of how the church and family interact and combine influences to reach young people.
I have a vision of families with their babies on the bank of a river; to bring these babies to adulthood, parents need to figure out how to get across that river. The church has done a good job of putting the first couple of stepping stones in place; there’s clear instruction for parents as they dedicate their babies and guide their little ones to accept Christ and get baptized. Then just when the river is running swift, as families are in the middle, they are left to figure out how to get to the other side all on their own.
I have a plan that God placed on my heart that places the next stepping stones within the family’s reach. The church’s primary role in this discipleship of young people is to encourage, empower and equip families as they are the primary influence in a child’s life.
This plan is called the Family Discipleship Path! I would love to talk with you more in person to answer any questions you may have. I am excited to partner with you to impact our next generation.
All for Him,
Echo
