Commissioning Garrett!

I'm looking forward to preaching and leading worship this weekend with Garrett. The church family will be commissioning Garrett on Sunday morning as a missional musician. He begins his initial three month tour on the east coast next week! I'm happy and sad at the same time. What are your thoughts? - Bill

We will miss Garrett BIG TIME because God has used him to usher our folks into the presence of the Lord again & again. But we stand him in this massive kingdom expansion ... as he takes his talents & anointing on the road. May the Lord bless Garrett, Tara, & the kids in unexpected ways theses next 2 months as they do ministry there... & here. We love you, Garrett, & are also thankful that Bill will be your back up! ;-)

Garrett- Go for it. I cant wait to hear not only how you continue to link music and mission but also how you connect worship and justice. These two streams run so deep in you. Worship is an out there thing. It is to bring wholistic justice. Proud of you Garrett.

One of a number of reasons that drew me to Risen King was the sincere and passionate way in which the worship team leads, and the church family responds. Having the privilege of helping Garrett out in the office this past year has given me a lot of insight into the reasons behind that sincerity and passion. He is genuine, and his desire to present Jesus to others through his music and leadership is so sincere. I will miss him, but am rejoicing with everyone else in this new direction the Lord is taking him.

God has gifted Garrett in such an awesome way. I know he will use him and his music to touch many people. I will miss him while he is gone, but what an opportunity. Don't forget to pack warm winter clothes. It's COLD there! Good Luck Garrett!!

I'm going to miss Garret while he is gone, but I am so happy for him. I know the Lord is going to bless him, and so many who get the pleasure of listening to his music. God is good!

Bill, I share in your sadness and joy in releasing Garrett for his next journey...He will be missed. It is our joy to encourage him and others to step out into their call so the Kingdom of God can expand...

I'm happy for him....sad for us! Garrett has really been a blessing for our church. What an amazing gift God has given him!

But change is growth...and opportunity. So good luck Garrett. Your Risen King family loves your family...and we will continue to pray for you all!
