When God shows up and shows off, the enemy is defeated and people are drawn into the Kingdom! This is clearly demonstrated in the clash of two kingdoms on Mt. Carmel (cf., 1 Kings 18). The "usual" would not have brought about this transformational event. Yet "usual" is what many of us settle for. God re-creates people in Christ to be different...set apart...UNUSUAL for His glory and the advance of His Kingdom. 1 Kings 18 is where we are landing this Sunday at Risen King in our series called, "The Elijah Generation."
