In February, my right knee started to bother me so I went to the doctor and I found I needed arthroscopic surgery on a torn meniscus. A date was finally set in April and I was grateful to finally get my knee fixed. During the pre-op check, my blood test was all messed up, so surgery was postponed and I was sent to a hematologist to determine the source of my abnormal blood test. It was determined that I needed a bone marrow biopsy to figure out the problem. During the week before the biopsy, many people were concerned and praying for me as they had been all along. When I went back the next week for the bone marrow biopsy, it was found in the blood test that my blood was nearly back to normal levels. Therefore, no biopsy was needed. I know it was God’s healing hand on my body that brought my blood back to normal. Praise God from whom all blessings flow! Next week I will have another blood test and then be back on the schedule for knee surgery, unless the Lord decides to heal my knee as well! (Deb Wiseman)

Get Connected

What's Next?

After you’ve attended Risen King a time or two, you may want to find out more about us and get connected with others who are a part of Risen King, too.  Here are some great ways to do that:

1. Newcomers Receptions

At these monthly events, people who are new or who feel new to Risen King get a chance to meet and spend some relaxed time with Pastor Bill Randall and his wife Jill in the comfort of their living room.  Tasty dessert and gourmet coffee provided!

2. RK DNA Class

In this class, one of our pastors has a chance to give a more in-depth introduction to who Risen King is, what we believe and what’s important to us. This class is a prerequisite for church membership.

3. New Believers Group

This is an opportunity to get to the basics of what it means to be a follower of Christ.  Anyone who makes a first time decision for Christ or a recomittment to the Lord is encouraged to become involved in a New Believers Group where they read, meet and discuss the chapters in Rick Warren’s Purpose Driven Life on a weekly basis.  These groups usually meet at a coffee shop or someone’s home.

4. LifeGroups

Our hope and expectation is that everyone in our church family will connect in a small group with others who can encourage them to live as fully committed followers of Jesus.  In our LifeGroups we encourage one another to look more like Jesus in terms of personal transformation, service, and mission. More about LifeGroups

A great place to get connected to our LifeGroups is at a GroupLink event.

GroupLink is the starting point for participating in a LifeGroup is to attend a GroupLink event.  GroupLinks include food, a more thorough overview of what LifeGroups are all about, and the chance for new leaders and prospective participants to meet and get to know one another.  Attending a GroupLink doesn’t obligate you to be in a LifeGroup, but it will help you understand LifeGroups better and, if you’re interested, find one that’s right for you.

For an upcoming GroupLink meeting, check our Upcoming Events or Contact Us directly with questions.
